The Envirostream Story

Safe, innovative battery processing, right here in Australia

Stakeholder and customer engagement

Envirostream Australia was created in 2017 to develop safe and innovative management solutions for one of the biggest emerging challenges for the Australian waste stream – batteries.

More than just Resource Recovery

Key stakeholders, like the sources of end-of-life batteries come from a variety of sectors including electric and hybrid vehicles, electronic and electrical waste, power tools, domestic and industrial applications, power generation and renewable energy storage systems.

Envirostream continues to engage these key stakeholder groups plus state and federal governments, industry associations including the Clean Energy Council and waste handling organisations to promote on-shore material recovery solutions for waste energy storage batteries.

The cornerstone to Envirostream’s stakeholder engagement strategy is building and maintaining strong relationships and being vertically integrated into the supply chain. Engagement methods include: Strategic Partnerships, Presentations, Conferences and Exhibitions, Industry Association Memberships, Site Tours and International Delegations.

We see the importance of building and maintaining strong partnerships across industry and government to stimulate an informed, economical and safe resource recovery industry in Australian and, reduce the amount of hazardous waste we ship to other countries. We cannot always guarantee the final end-point or that the country receiving our waste batteries has the same health, safety and environmental controls we have here.

A combination of strong relationship management, strategic alignments and offering an on-shore solution provides our customers with a true value-added solution for safe and cost-effective battery recycling right here in Australia.
